Venture Outside

Venture Outside is Venture Out’s new outdoor adventure initiative. We are excited to expand the number of courses we offer outside the gates of our high ropes course and to take groups onto the local Columbia, Missouri trails.

Information on Trails in the Greater Columbia Area

Hiking

We are happy to announce that we are actively building a hiking program. Bring a group of friends or sign up solo and meet new friends on the trail! We will be hosting guided hikes on several trails in Columbia of various lengths and difficulties.

Geocaching

Geocaching is an exciting way to explore the outdoors in both urban and backcountry areas. We are in the process of creating a Geocaching Crash Course to help teams get started as well as create some caches of our own. Courses in the future may involve geocaching around the Columbia area, but the program would start with geocaching on Mizzou’s campus.

Winter Orienteering

Venture Out already offers orienteering courses during winter! Groups of 8 or more people can sign up here to book a guided orienteering course at Rock Bridge State Park here in Columbia. Find out more on our Winter Orienteering page.

Flight Course

The flight course is an upcoming program that involves hoisting team members up onto our Odyssey high ropes course and riding the zip line back down. This is an excellent course for teams with members who may have extra accessibility needs and who still want to get up in the air. This course will be supplemented with TCCs to help provide both a mental and physical challenge for the group. Find out more on our Team Challenge Course page.
